About Firle, SA

Firle is a suburb of Adelaide in the City of Norwood Payneham St Peters. == History == The suburb was laid out in 1881 by Edward Castres Gwynne who was born at Lewes in Sussex, England, near the towns of Firle and Glynde, where his father was a rector. Glynde is the name of a suburb which neighbours Firle. Gwynne came to South Australia on the Lord Goderich in April 1838 and purchased 500 acres of land on the foothills east of Adelaide. He was elected to the first representative Parliament in 1857 and twenty years later was appointed a judge of the Supreme Court of South Australia. Upon his retirement in 1881 he laid out the suburb on sections 303 and 265, Hundred of Adelaide. Initially, parts of Gwynne's estate was subdivided into large blocks which were used by settlers for large market gardens, orchards and paddocks of wheat and hay. Gradually the area developed as a residential suburb as transport services such as trams and buses were introduced in the early 1900s. Post-war migrant settlement also brought many people to the area. Firle House was built by Henry William Martin in about 1882, but it was demolished in the 1980s.

This chemist has stock of rapid antigen tests but will only sell them to specific people. I know that because the saleslady said so herself. She said that she had seen too many people whom she had never seen before asking for rapid antigen tests. To these people, she would say that they had no stock. However, in reality, they do have stock and have a cap of 2 per customer. If you meet their unspecified criteria, the saleslady would look around to ensure that no customers were around, and would discreetly sell you rapid antigen tests. The whole process seems a bit fishy to say the least. Purportedly lying to customers who they don't want to sell rapid antigen tests to doesn't seem like the proper conduct of a chemist. If the saleslady was just bluffing and making this all up, I recommend that she stop this unhelpful small talk immediately. This kind of behaviour diminishes the reputation of this chemist.

Hands down my favourite chemist, I avoid shopping at any other chemist if I can help it because I love the level of service and care I receive here. I'm always greeted with a huge smile by Rita (which on my high pain days is especially nice!), the pharmacists are always so helpful and being a regular I am often welcomed by named - this is so lovely and appreciated. I feel like the staff here really care. Highly recommended.

I've gone in for assistance with complicated female health issues, and had a male pharmacist assist me with the highest level of care and respect. I felt so awkward asking but he was incredibly kind, knowledgeable and respectful. His high quality of care and assistance made me feel better and encouraged me that I made the right call. Would strongly recommend, and the products he advised worked an absolute treat. Thank you sir, you made my day.

They don't discount as much as Terry White Chemist, wouldn't match the cheaper price
